Wayne Palbaum
Executive Director of Convention Services
In his role as Executive Director of Convention Services for Wynn Las Vegas and Encore, Wayne is responsible for leading the Convention and Conference Services Managers, and the Meeting Concierge Department. In addition, Wayne also manages a variety of convention groups primarily over 150 rooms per night and coordinates a variety of convention groups that range in various sizes.
Experience
Prior to joining the pre-opening team in the Convention Services Department at Wynn Resorts in April 2004, Wayne was a Convention Services Manager at Bellagio. He opened Bellagio as their Business Services Center Manager and also held various management positions in Hotel Operations at The Mirage. While at The Mirage, Wayne was selected to participate in their Management Associate Program which entailed a six-month rotation through various departments related to Hotel Operations.
Education
Wayne graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a degree in Hotel Administration.
Associations
Wayne's professional affiliation is ACOM - the Association for Convention Operations Management. He was awarded the 2006 Silver Spur Award from Global Enterprises, Inc. for Outstanding Convention Services Manager of the year.
Personal
Wayne enjoys spending his leisure time with his wife and their two daughters, and relaxing in the pool. He also enjoys running, reading, and dining out with friends and family.
